Ivar Jacobson International, a Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner, has announced plans to ship Ivar Jacobson International’s most widely used process templates with Visual Studio 2010.

IJI has built support in Visual Studio 2010 for IJI's most widely used core practices: Use Case, Iterative, and Unified Process Lifecycle. This is a ready to use way of working for agile use-case driven way of development.Our process templates aim to support agile use case driven development. It is an excellent support for those customers who would like to get the structure from the unified process yet in an agile fashion integrated with the Microsoft development environment.

IJI's support includes:

• Process Guidance –EssWork adapted for VisualStudio – describing the “how to”
• Work Items to support agile and iterative use case driven development
• Document structure and templates in SharePoint site
• Reports on the same level as the Microsoft templates
• Generation of traditional use case artifacts such use case model survey, use case specification
• Project dashboard based on top level alpha states, describing the state of the project based on the milestones in the Unified Process
