Unified Process Group Acquisition Details

With the recent acquisition of Unified Process Group (UPG) by Ivar Jacobson Consulting (IJC), we would like to provide you with some insight as to what the new, joint company is going to look like and what it means to IJC and UPG clients.  Our corporate mission as defined by IJC founder, Dr. Ivar Jacobson, one of the pioneers in software development process, has been to help organizations build better software and systems through process improvement. UPG and their management team share this vision and the acquisition will continue to build upon both companies’ success in providing the best support for both sets of customers.
 
What is the joint company going to look like?
IJC is an international company with offices around the world.  The company has two primary focuses:
UPG is an unquestionable leader in training, mentoring and strategy for state-of-the-art IT technologies greatly complementing IJC's business focus.  Additionally, IJC has a very strong presence in the Eastern Region of the United States and Canada, complimented by UPG's strong presence in the west, therefore we are pleased to announce that Bernie Clark, founder and chairman of UPG will continue to grow the business in the Western Region with the responsibilities of managing the Western Region business, customers and client engagements while continuing to provide client services.   This position will allow Bernie to continue to be the focal point for you, but also allows him to take advantage IJC’s expertise, thought leadership, resources and international presence to best serve your needs. UPG co-founder, Mike Boggs, will be Director of Professional Services for the Americas and will oversee all service provisioning and logistics.   We expect the majority of UPG employees to join IJC and continue to service their clients unchanged.  Training courses and services currently created and provided by UPG will be integrated into IJC's already vast set of materials.  As part of joining IJC, both Bernie and Mike will report to David West, Managing Director Americas.
