Overview
There are five different configurations of WayPointer available. These configurations include different sets of agents, but are equal in other respects, including support for Essential Modeler, Rational Rose, Rational XDE, IBM Rational Software Architect and IBM Rational Software Modeler.
WayPointer for Use Cases
WayPointer for Use Cases offers end-to-end support for Use Case Modeling, including support for creating use-case descriptions and review support. WayPointer for Use Cases also includes support for generating test specifications based on a prepared use-case specification.
WayPointer for Architecture
WayPointer for Architecture includes the same set of agents as WayPointer for Use Cases but adds support for working with Analysis Classes as a way to define the architecture and high-level design of your system. This configuration is independent of any particular implementation platform, such as J2EE.
WayPointer for the J2EE platform
WayPointer for the J2EE platform offers support for designing J2EE systems directly from the Use Case Model. This configuration is suitable for smaller J2EE projects. Medium-size to large J2EE projects are recommended to use WayPointer Enterprise.
WayPointer Enterprise
This configuration is best for medium-sized to large J2EE projects. Compared to WayPointer for the J2EE platform, WayPointer Enterprise adds support for working with analysis/high-level design classes, which will help in building the architecture of the system and also provide the best possible starting point for the J2EE specific design.
The WayPointer Development Kit
The WayPointer Development Kit (WDK) allows end-users and partners to develop custom rules and agents with the same tools that are used by the developers at Jaczone. For pricing and terms of availability for the WDK, please contact your sales representative or Contact Us
