Course Description

This 2-day class is intended to provide software development project team members with the skills they need to adopt the Essential Unified Process on their projects.

It focuses on introducing the practices and principles that underlie the Essential Unified Process and provides practical advice on how organizations and projects can start to use and benefit from these.  In particular, it provides an effective introduction to the Essential Unified Process’s approach to use-case driven, agile, iterative and incremental software development.

The course is a hands-on course using the cards and guidelines from the process to simulate the adoption and application of the process on a small software development project.
Participants will also learn how to manipulate and extend the process to address their project risks and integrate the process with their existing practices.
Throughout the class, common software development project problems and their solutions will be explored.
