Successful Implementation of Scaled Agile Framework at NHS Blood & Transplant
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a joint England and Wales Special Health Authority. It’s responsible for the provision of a reliable, efficient supply of blood to the NHS and for matching and allocating donated organs. The organisation of 6000 people is going through a significant transformational change as core systems are replaced and IT programmes have been identified that will roll-out over the next few years. Gary Dawson, Assistant Director Solutions Delivery at NHS Blood and Transplant will present how the NHSBT decided to move and is in the process of moving from a waterfall environment to an agile one using the Scaled Agile Framework with coaching support from Ivar Jacobson International.
